【原型】 Prototype -- Yves Ackermann

影片呈現一個被射擊中的男子,亂彈狂掃下的他肢體漸漸脫臼、手腳顫動,沒有任何動機、背景與下文,也並不是射擊測試的聯想,這只是一個單純的「擬態」。影片專注在動作本身、射擊本身、以及死亡,一個原始模型的影像預言了多種聯結的可能性,而動作的執行則展現出一個樣本:原型。

Amplification of an idea – «Prototype» is a 2-minute film, showing a man in the process of being shot. The hail of bullets shakes his body, his hands cramp, he reels round, end of the film. In significant contrast to the relatively simple structure, is the extravagant production. Filmed in slow-motion on 35mm and in Cinemascope, the film bears reference to its paragons, advertising film and mainstream cinema. The action remains without motive, without context and without development. It is reminiscent of crash tests and is pure simulation. Focus is isolated on the action itself, the shooting, the death. An archetypal image that triggers off associations. The performance of the action generates an exemplary depiction, a prototype.

【風景中的紅螃蟹】 Red Crab in the Landscape --  Florent Trochel

一個身著紅色日本武士盔甲的男子看著所圍繞他的黑白風景,他等待、武裝自己,他已不期待遇見任何人能向他解釋:他,是真實的。在遇見一個年輕女子、日本警察、一個樂手、或是一個似乎已等待他許久的老婦人之時,他將試圖向他們說明:他是與別人的生命做交易的- 他,是一個販售人壽保險的生意人。本片透過一個寓言式的場景,鋪陳異國文化間的種種微妙互動方式,同時反應出語言上的隔閡(註:本片對白使用日語與法語)所形成的心理上的距離,與外表的改變是否等同內在的改變等等問題。

 A man dressed of a red samourai’s armour looks at the fields in black and white around him. He waits. He occupies himself. He despairs to meet somebody to explain him who he is really,. When he meet a girl passing by there, a Japanese policeman, a musician or an old woman who seems have always awaiting form him, he will try to explain them that he makes trade with the life of the others: he is a salesman of life insurances.

【3. 鋼琴】3. Piano -- Julien Roby

本片從一個祥和美好的早晨鋼琴課出發,片中人沒有任何對白,然而透過手語與鋼琴音律的互動、和歐洲古典風格的服裝與場景,交織出一種超越和諧靜懿的美感;劇中的每一段小插曲,靈感均源於瑞士作家 Robert Walser 的小說內容,這是一部融合文學、音樂、戲劇與藝術,透過歐州人的眼、以含蓄語調探討人性的典雅作品。

So let’s talk a little about music. A weekly event marks us when, early in the morning, we go into the cheerful room of the piano teacher with the aim of learning this and that. We are not surprised if, like white swans, the hands of the mistress slide on the keyboard that we would like to imagine as a dark lake in the middle of the room and from which emerges a light and joyful tune, in 3 4 time, in major... A family mansion is host to several stories and destinies, which intermix around the theme of the piano lesson, inspired by a story by Robert Walser and also interpreted in sign language by two of the characters. The film is produced with an experimental approach as its editing was generated by a script encoded and indexed to the musical recording.

【野馬】 Mustang -- Yves Ackermann

影片垂直攝錄一架用韁繩綁住的擬直昇機模型被燒光殆盡的畫面,加以3D特效處理,巨大混亂的嗡嗡聲響充斥、白色濃霧漸漸模糊了螢幕中的影像。本片試圖影射個體在社會制約下所自行衍生的強烈反動與無助感,殘酷事實上演的同時,真相卻被掩蔽而漸趨迷離,好似霧裡看花- 花非花。

«Mustang» shows the «burnout» of a model aeroplane. Retained by ropes, the biplane «Pitts» is filmed in vertical flight. The motor of the aircraft whir in anarchic fashion, whilstthick white smoke gradually invades the screen.

【我不認識愛麗絲】 Je ne connais pas d’Alice -- Sebastien Loghman

本片的女主角是一個名叫愛麗絲的旅館女侍,在她room service的勤務當中,親眼目睹了旅館裡各個房間中所正在發生的詭譎事件,旅館本身如同當今世界的縮影,裡面上演著權力鬥爭、金錢政治、畸形生物的寄生、高科技測試人性等戲碼,在愛麗絲的日常工作中所充斥的盡是她見怪不怪的瑣碎事。
值得一提的是,刻意設定女主角與<愛麗絲夢遊仙境>裡的小女孩同名,更加強了本片虛擬情境的諷刺性與無奈感;而cosplay的假髮女僕裝扮則說明了女主角自我身份認同、分身的矯揉造作之辯證過程。

Alice works as a maid in a grand hotel. Self control, control of others and rituals at work are daily life here. Alice usually doesn’t pay attention to the system she’s part of. She’s only here to work without asking question. Until something goes wrong…

【失事】 Naufrage -- Clorinde DURAND

清算盤點惶恐-本片由不斷的定格畫面所組成,呈現一樁意外事件的表象,給予觀者多方揣測的可能性:爆炸?下落?慘劇的開端?其間的不確定性與不連貫,每一幕均牽動著生理反應。

« Naufrage » lists fears: the narration stops  at the frozen instant.But « Naufrage » relates something. What is it talking about ? We don’t know...perhaps an accident, a depression, an explosion ? This scene might be the summit of a catastrophe scenario : the moment of physical emotion. However, nothing in the sequence of events tries to explain this state of things.

【我們說什麼?不說什麼?】 No dit quoi ? On dis quoi ? -- Kang Hyun-Wook

亞洲人如何說法文?
我們可以用以下的方式回答這個問題:亞洲人以一種自覺純粹的口音說法文。
藉由這些口音,我們可辨識出他們的國籍,如果說法文能夠代表法國人的身份,那麼亞洲人所講的多種不同口音的法文,則可以代表他們在法國的多種不同身份。本片即呈現亞洲人如何將自己的身份註冊於法文當中,而這些新生的法文又是如何代表這些新的居民?
影片中紀錄一對旅法情侶間的對話,男的來自韓國、女的來自中國,而談論內容除日常生活瑣事之外,還有政治;然而,這席對話對法國人來說,是非常有趣而特別的,因為他們所說的法文完全不合文法、也不合語法、更沒有邏輯可言,但兩人卻能溝通想法。本片透過一段看似平淡無奇的側錄,對語言在文化上、以及身份認同上所扮演的角色等問題,提出許多犀利的質疑。

What kind of French do Asians speak ? We can answer this question in the following manner : the Asians speak French with their own specific accent. It is connected to their identity. If the French language represents the identity of the French, the French spoken by Asians living in France would partly be linked to their identity. Thus what we are interested in showing is how the Asian identity gets written into the French language and how this French represents these new citizens.
My film presents the conversation of a couple composed of a Chinese woman and a Korean man talking about important subjects : political problems, problems of everyday life. However, this conversation is amusing and slightly odd to the French : the words pronounced by this couple are not based on the grammatical rules of French or on the thinking of this language, but have a specific validity in the conversation with certain thinking. The film will be shown on a television in a bourgeois bedroom. Here I refer to the preconceived ideas that a foreigner has of a country. Indeed, every expatriate arrives with a dream. I play on the notion of comfort, space and social position. The dream disappears and thus situations of tension and instability arise within the couple.

A woman is walking down a long corridor bordered and overlooked by a vast stretch of water. As she wanders, she is confronted by enigmatic entities, figures like sculptures, frozen as they wait and apparently indifferent to her as she moves about, as if absent...

【塑膠與玻璃】 PLASTIC AND GLASS --Tessa Joosse

這是一部介於音樂喜劇與紀錄片之間的影片,取景自法國北部的一間回收工廠,工人們齊聚合唱、工作車與工人們匯合好似芭蕾舞劇。從驚人的機械作業到手工挑撿,影片本身呈現垃圾回收處理的完整過程。而伴隨工作而來的噪音竟也能譜出有趣的樂章,工廠裡的聲音成了間歇性的旋律,工車司機開始為他的情人歌唱,他想塑造出一個回收物質充斥的島嶼,在這裡,他們可以在一起。本片描述藍領階級的工作與生活,面對每日事與物周而復始的循環,遂於自己心中構築一個小宇宙,所唱出的究竟是心底的哀歌、抑或是浪漫的情歌?而宇內與宇外又有何區別?所看重的是剎那、還是永恆?工業成長以致物質可回收、再生、再利用,也許些微改變了人們長久以來的價值觀。

In a recycling factory in the north of France the machines dance, the workers join in song, and the truckdrivers almost make a ballet. The film shows the process of recycling by impressive machines and by hand. We hear the noise that accompagnies this process. Slowly the factory noise becomes a rythm  and a truck-driver starts to sing a song for his love. He wants to build an island with the materials at hand, where they can be together to ‘sort things out ‘.
